Alright.. so here's the ultra summarized version. Some lady dropped off this little male sugarglider in a parakeet cage. (I work at a vets office). So of course my office handed him over to me b/c I have gliders of my own and love them all to death. However, this little guy is different. He can't walk very well (my vet took an x-ray of him and said he has ricketts disease. He is also missing a few fingers on one hand. Now I've only had him for about a week or so but it's obvious that he was not recieving a good diet, cage, or ANYTHING. Since he's been in my care he is on zookeepers secret, fresh fruits, veggies, mealies, etc. and has taken over residence in my gliders old cage. Some minor problems have cleared up.. like he is growing some fur back on his head and tail.. but he will never walk normally. My vet brought up the option of putting him to sleep but he is absolutely the SWEETEST animal. This little guy has had little to nothing in his life and is still just a happy little lovebug. This guy desperately deserves a good forever home. He needs one. So I am open to anyone interested in this little guy. He's really low maintence and quiet, he's in my room so he doesn't bark much. Yes, he is free and if you would like you can have the cage that he is in now (which is an older cage from suncoast sugar gliders. it cost me quite a fortune back in the day though it is a little rusted out now. But it still does it's job and it's a HUGE step up from his dinky little parakeet cage). Please either respond back on this board or email me at kmshope@eagle.fgcu.edu -Kristina
